Business Systems Analyst

Pearl Insurance, a national insurance broker and third party administrator, has an immediate opening for the following position:

Plans and implements business system maintenance and modifications required to effectively and efficiently service the Life and Health Affinity business. Work closely with other business units within and outside of the Affinity unit to ensure maximum system efficiencies and workflow quality is maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the business units to analyze system needs for new account processing, existing account changes, government compliance and report creation. This includes all processes across all
  • Provide input into project plans and adhere to agree-upon timelines for system set up, configuration, modifications, testing (UAT, Parallel as needed), and validating of sys
  • Sets up, configures and maintains business system function and parameters as needed to ensure complete and accurate system output.
  • Creates Use and Test cases as needed. Executes and monitors successful execution of each where required.
  • Analyzes and investigates system issues.
  • Work with end-users to review and analyze current processes to identify workflow and process improvements to optimize full use of the administration system capabilities.
  • Prepares and maintains system usage documentation, and assists with documentation for end-user process workflow and procedures
  • Sets up, configures, and maintain software programs used in the Affinity department.
  • Assist with end-user system training and assist with developing audit criteria, procedures, and workflows for system usage processes.
  • Validate data output for accuracy on projects handled by the IT department.
  • Completes client delivery assignments to ensure timely and accurate delivery on daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual business deliverables
Qualifications
  • Ability to work beyond standard work hours and days.
  • The ability to travel by personal or company vehicle to customer sites, other Pearl facilities, training or meeting locations, etc. Travel will make up 5% of the job.
  • Hands on experience with software testing and project management.
  • Minimum Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
  • Previous experience working in an insurance industry environment is a plus.
  • Previous experience with business analysis or system configuration or maintenance a plus.
  • Experience with all Microsoft software programs (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Certificate for completing the intermediate or advance level for Access and Excel programs
